Gene Zubovich is an assistant professor of history at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, and a 2021-22 Kluge Fellow at the Library of Congress. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley.

He is the author of Before the Religious Right: Liberal Protestants, Human Rights, and the Polarization of the United States.
