Rebekah Barber is an editorial fellow for The 19th. Most recently, she wrote about racial justice, democracy and history for the Institute for Southern Studies. She was previously at Red Letter Christians and the Southern Poverty Law Center. She is a graduate of North Carolina Central University and Duke University.
